In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Foyer Pere Fiset nursing home, PO Box 219, Cheticamp, NS, B0E 1H0. at Dartmouth Memorial Gardens & Atlantic Funeral Home located at 767 Main St. Services were held Friday, February 2nd, at 2:00 p.m. Moe is survived by his wife Marie, daughter Nadine, son Ken, daughter-in-law Tracy, grandchildren Gabrielle and Matthew, his bothers Fred and Phillip and many nieces and nephews. He was a quiet giant who made a big impact on many. Fondly known as Papa to his grandkids, he especially loved travelling, golf, and playing cards with family and friends. Most significantly, Moe was a devoted family man who always put his family first. He was a respected member of the Kiwanis club in Dartmouth and an accomplished business owner in Canada and the US. Moe attended the Nova Scotia Institute of Technology and became president of the Nova Scotia Product Association. He married his high school sweetheart Marie and remained happily married for 57 years. Maurice was born on October 28th, 1945, to parents Joseph and Marie Antionette Doucet and raised in Grand Etang, NS. Louis Maurice (Moe) Doucet passed away Saturday evening, January 27th, of natural causes. She wore many hats but becoming an Oma was by far her favourite! Cremation to take place. Co-pilot extraordinaire, lover of geography, and/or learning the language of love in her final days, Antje never missed a moment to keep her brilliant mind shining bright. The TGB was Winner of the Marlboro Country Music Talent Search for the Northeast and performed at Madison Square Garden, New York City, with Ricky Van Shelton, Merle Haggard, George Strait and Alabama. The "Tim Gillis' East Coast Opry" features comedy, classic and modern Country Music, Gospel and patriotic ending!! The theme of the 2014 Branson-Style Country Variety Show is Beer & Broken Hearts! The TGB was the first to create and produce a real Branson Style Stage Show for the New York tri-state market.
